House System
All the students and staff are grouped into four houses namely. Ruby, Sapphire, Agate and Topaz to form a STAR Alliance. Each house is headed by a captain and a Vice Captain: guided by House Master and House mistress. All competitions are conducted, House wise.
Student Council
A Student Council functions in the school to develop and nurture leadership qualities in students and to support the teachers in organising varius co-curricular activities through Science club, Eco-club, Health Club, Literary club and Heritage club.
School Band
The School band is equipped with drums, and blowing instruments like trumpet, Clarinet, Saxophone, Bugles, Flute, euphonium etc. Experts in the field provide training to the interested students of our school.
Hobby Club
As a part of co-curricular activities, special training is given to the students in various activities like Bharatanatyam, Karate, Music, Drawing, Dramatics, Yakshagana and playing Band set instruments. This training is provided to the students of class III to VIII according to their choice.
CCA Competitions
Inter-House / Inter class CCA competitions are conducted as per a specially designed CCA calendar. Competitions like Debates, Essay writing, Singing, Speech, Drama, Drawing, etc are conducted at various levels. Participation at class level is compulsory for all students. Students participation and involvement will be assessed by the teachers and will be considered for Internal / Co-scholastic Assessment.
Sports and Games
Provision is made to play the following games in the school premises.
1) Football, 2) Handball, 3) Basketball, 4) Volley Ball, 5) Throwball, 6) Softball, 7) Tennikoit, 8) Indoor games like Carrom, Chess etc., 9) Cricket, 10) Kho-Kho, 11) Athletic Events - (200 m track) Long Jump, High Jump, shotput, Discus etc.
Sports Specialization
To identify and nurture the sports talents in students a special training programme is provided in selected games like Handball, Football, Basketball, Throwball, Hockey and Volleyball to the students of classes V to VIII during extended hours.
Educational Tours
Periodic Educational Tours and Nature Study Camps are arranged at local, state, national and inter national level for the students of different classes.
Math & Science (MAS) Foundation Course
Jnanadeepa creates opportunites for the students to confidently appear for competitive exams like NTSE, CET, JEE, AIPMT, IIT, NEET etc. through the MAS Foundation Course which is open for the students of 8th Standard onwards.
